Asking Why

Posted on by Brian Hertzog

We've all seen a young child ask his or her parents "why?"  If they answer, it's usually followed with another "but why?"  Why is something I ask myself every day.  There is a reason children ask "why" so often.  It is a fundamental question for survival and growth.  Understanding our environment, how the world works, etc. allows us to optimize our behavior.  The more we comprehend, the more equipped we are to handle life's hurdles.

"Why" is a child's question, but also the question of the wiseman.  Only when we ask why are we able to become masters of our environment.  Ask yourself why.  The question is is simple, it's the answers we fear.  Be brave.  Ask why.  Knowledge is freedom.  Liberate your mind.  Free your soul.  Go!
